Outdoor Classroom for 4th Graders
Norwalk Land Trust volunteers visit 4th grade classrooms with a 45-minute Powerpoint presentation, geared to the science curriculum, on what a land trust is, and why open space is important. Then, there is a follow-up field trip to Farm Creek Preserve for a hands-on experience of what was presented in class. Presentations and field trips are free, and transportation may be available through an education grant. 2011 Field Trip Schedule For information on how to enroll in the program, contact Marny Smith at fifteenhats@yahoo.com or (203) 866-8728.
If you are a 4th grade student or teacher, visit our Science Page.
Discovery Day
Children and their families visit Farm Creek Preserve to discover the wonders of nature in a tidal estuary. Nature tours, scavenger hunts, entertainment and snacks are all free of charge. For more information on this year's event, visit our Discovery Day page.

Stewardship Days
The Norwalk Land Trust schedules days when groups of volunteers prune, weed, plant, clear, build trails and share comaraderie while experiencing the joys of nature. There's something to do for all ages and we need volunteers. Contact the Norwalk Land Trust for a schedule.
